The Markets
- Goldman news continues to proliferate. One blogger wondered why, if GS didn’t want the TARP money why is it borrowing (through the stock offering) to pay it back.
- Bernanke painting the tape with relatively good news. Pointing futures greener. Speech by Chairman Bernanke on four questions about the financial crisis
- Obama speaks today about economy and may not be as positive as yesterday. Today he will say job growth may not resume soon.
- Oil prices down and it looks as if they may stay down this time. Russia and Brazil giving OPEC fits. OPEC Frustrated by Russia, Brazil Boosting U.S. Crude, Threatening $50 Oil
- Copper stocks still strong.
- AIG up big in pre-market. Financials seem to be the hot spot, again, today. Perhaps UYG is a trade this morning. A terrible idea as finanicals head south, big time.
- Watch DNDN…seems as if they have a cure for advanced prostate cancer.
- Retail sales numbers killing futures.
Make it a great Tuesday!
