Links

Some links I have used over the last year and have bookmarked.

THE SHARK REPORT

The Shark, according to his bio, is/was a CPA.  A man of few words he has an uncanny feel for the market’s direction and for day trading.

Technology Investor || Harry Newton’s In Search of the Perfect Investment

Harry Newton is a mensch.  He combines technology understanding with common sense.  Always an interesting read, he posts only once a day.

Daily Options Report

The Options report dwells on the VIX a great deal.  And he explains it very well.  In 2008 we needed all the explanation we could find.  Have never made money with him but he is always interesting.  And, he usually pictures some babes on his page.

VIX and More

Bill always has something relevant.  He makes claims and backs them up with reason.  Have made money with him.

Bloomberg.com: Investment Tools

This is the link for the TED spread but you can go into the Tools from here.  I have been checking the TED spread daily for six months.  As it ratchets down from perilous heights to the 1:50 area it should mean that banks are, indeed, lending again.  Hope so.

After Hours

I have never been very successful in after markets trading.  The pros look for chumps like me; I can almost hear their gleeful cries of delight as I take their offering.  But, if you want to know how shares are doing after the close here it is.

Clusterstock

Jack Grubman and Henry Blodgett are almost always included in the same sentence by those explaining the gogo years. When I briefly ran the morning research meeting at PaineWebber,  Jack was just leaving to join Smith Barney.  His story is well known.  Among the train wrecks of that era was Henry.  He is infamous for his internal emails blasting a company for which they were about to do an offering.  Both Jack and Henry are out of the business but Henry is reincarnated into the architect of one of the best sites in the ether.  He is a frequent guest on NPR, he sounds good, offers valuable insight, his site is beautifully designed and I am rooting for him.

The Kirk Report

Kirk is a lawyer by training who decided to work at home and chose trading as his vehicle.  He is smart as a whip, writes conversationally, has a clean site with no ads and always gives me something, everyday.  I send him a donation every year to be a “member”.  This gives me access to his sorting “machine”.  Haven’t always made money with Kirk but always come away smarter.

InVivoAnalytics.com

Teresa Lo at InVivo has been frustrating for me.  I paid her a subscription and really want to profit from the expense but so far have not.  She has a huge work ethic and her product offerings are vast and seemingly good.  It may be my fault but I have not been able to get my figurative arms around her.  Her swing trading tools and universal stops system may be the way to go and I intend do a more thorough study of these next month

Over the next few months I will include more links as I find them useful.
